VIC to be relocated and supported by Parish Council

 

Ilkley Parish Council will support the running of the visitor information centre (VIC) after proposals were accepted by Bradford Council's executive committee.

​

Due to tourism budget cuts the town’s VIC could have closed, but will now move from the town hall to the library and Ilkley Parish Council will contribute £19,000 per year for a period of two financial years (2018/2019 and 2019/2020), this will fund two members of staff.

​

The VIC will continue to have a retail space to offset any other running costs.
