Cult-Canadian comedian launches new Ilkley comedy night

The Ilkley Moor Vaults function room on Skipton Road is the venue for a new monthly comedy night which launches this Sunday 23 September,at 7pm.

The first headliner is acclaimed cult-Canadian comedian Bobby Mair who is based in London and who has supported world famous comedy stars like Bill Burr, Jerry Sadowitz and Doug Stanhope.  Bobby has something to offer audiences of all ages and has been seen nationally on shows such as ‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Nevermind The Buzzcocks’,  Nick Grimshaw’s ‘The Hour’, and ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’.

Organiser and MC for the night Robson Stroud said 'The Vaults is a great venue for comedy. By holding a comedy night at a quirky and charming gastro-pub like the The Ilkley Moor Vaults we’ve got the benefit of our own function room with 100 comfy seats, a brilliant beer garden with all-weather igloos, and a choice of drinks that would rival any up-market bar or city centre café.'

He added 'I’ve also booked a strong ‘supporting undercard’ of comics that I’ve handpicked for the evening including the highly-rated young Otley comedian Jim Bayes and the massively popular Italian comedienne Carla Pol.'

Tickets are £10 and are available to buy now online from Eventbrite.com
