2020 Ilkley Half Marathon postponed to 2021

Organisers of the Ilkley Half Marathon, Ilkley and District Round Table, have today announced the 2020 event planned for 12 July won't be going ahead due to the current Coronavirus situation.

Posting details on the event website they said:

'We had been hoping that the Ilkley Half Marathon would be able to go ahead this year, but as the situation has developed we don’t think it would be responsible to press ahead for this summer. We have decided to postpone the event until 2021 rather than reschedule and have a tentative date of Sunday 11 July 2021. Put it on your calendar and keep training!

All 2020 registrations will have their entry automatically deferred to the 2021 event. You will still receive relevant updates and registration confirmations as they are announced.

If you are unable to run next year you will be able to transfer your place through the Sports Entry Solutions website.

The Ilkley Half Marathon is 100% volunteer organised and 100% of profits from the event go back into the local community. In 2019 Ilkley and District Round Table raised circa £80,000, all spent supporting worthy causes and people in need. Your support of our activities is hugely appreciated and we envisage the requirement for funds for our community to only increase as a consequence of the impact of COVID-19. If you’d like to make a donation to the Ilkley Coronavirus Response Fund you can do so at ilkleyresponse.co.uk.

We hope that you will understand our decision and we thank you for your continued support. The Ilkley Half Marathon Team'
