Staff from the Airedale NHS Foundation Trust have recorded a medley of Christmas carols and songs to help provide festive cheer to colleagues, patients and the local community.
The choir has been rehearsing via Zoom and the special Christmas video features performances recorded in members' own homes as well as some socially-distanced recordings in the hospital grounds.
Ilkley resident Steph Burgess who is the choir’s musical director and specialist speech and language therapist said: “Singing with the hospital choir is a wonderful opportunity for people from all over the Trust to come together to create something special. We are doctors, nurses, midwives, therapists, pharmacists, medical secretaries and managers from communications, procurement and IT, and we all gave up our own time to rehearse and record ourselves.
“It's been an incredibly difficult year for everyone in the NHS and we hope that our singing will send a message of positivity and love this Christmas to all who work in, care about and benefit from the NHS."
