Nigel Benn made a special appearance on Sunday at The Courtyard, Ilkley, where he chatted to delighted fans and signed their treasured memorabilia.
The former WBO and WBC champion met with fans who were thrilled to have their picture taken with the boxing legend. He also introduced the town to ‘Forged Irish Stout’ which has been a sensation on social media, ever since Conor McGregor, who owns the brand, handed a pint to Anthony Joshua after beating Robert Helenius in August.
The venue is the first in the area to offer the trending drink and fans were lucky enough to be the first to sample the product given away by the Forged Irish Stout team.
Ali Allawa, The Courtyard Owner said. “It was a fantastic event. It was great to see so many people coming out to see Nigel. As always, he had time for his fans and even stayed later to ensure everyone got their photos.”
The event also raised £200 towards new boxing kits for Eastburn Boxing Club.
