Bradford Council’s Executive approved proposals to invest £100,000 on CCTV in Ilkley town centre at a meeting on Tuesday morning.
The scheme includes a number of high-definition CCTV cameras located within the town centre providing good coverage of the key streets and venues.
The council believes the investment will help bring a reduction in crime, improve evidence for prosecuting offenders and provide assurance to visitors and residents.
Subject to final approved, the proposed locations are:
A65 Leeds Road car park opposite Booths
Junction of A65 Leeds Road / Brook Street / New Brook Street
B6382 Station Road junction with Brook Street
Wells Promenade
B6382 The Grove (various locations)
South Hawksworth Street Car Park (various locations)
Church St junction with Cunliffe Road
