Wild flowers brighten up passersby day

Wild flowers outside Ashlands Primary School

Ashlands Primary School on Leeds Road in Ilkley have received plenty of positive messages about the wild flowers at the front of the building. Many saying how much they have brightened up their walks during lockdown.

A spokesperson for the school said:

"When we originally thought about the project in February our primary aim was to attract pollinators and use the project to form part of teaching the children around this. Obviously the children haven’t been in school in a normal pattern and instead they have had a positive impact on the community wellbeing."

'miriammarshall123' on Instagram commended "I pass the school a lot and notice how beautiful they are. Love the bee hive too."
