A preview of Airedale Symphony Orchestra's next concert at King's Hall

Airedale Symphony Orchestra will invite the audience to experience exciting adventures as it travel to new worlds in its next concert on Sunday 17th March at Ilkley's King's Hall.

A spokesperson for the orchestra said: "If you've never seen an orchestra playing live, this is the concert for you! And if you're a veteran concert goer, you know what a treat you'll be getting! William Tell Overture is full of favourite tunes including the theme music for The Lone Ranger, then onto the famous and passionate Cuban carnival dance Conga del Fuego Nuevo (a Classic FM favourite), with a vast percussion section to get your feet tapping.

"Hear the dramatic impacts of the American highways in the World Premiere of a fabulous and evocative new piece by Philippa Jennings, a composer in our orchestra cello section. (Picture attached)

"And then be transported right across that vast continent by Dvorak's New World Symphony with its beautiful 'Hovis tune' and music evoking a journey into the unknown.

"Everyone is welcome to our concert, and there will be cake in the interval!"
