The Clarke Foley Centre in Ilkley is planning its ‘Covid Secure’ future and would like to thank the community for the support given over the past months.
Chairman Stuart Hyde QPM explains:
“Although we do not have a definite date when we can re-open, we are working on plans to ensure that when we can re-open, everyone is safe and that we can do so within social distancing guidelines.”
“Being able to re-open depends on two things. Firstly, we are reliant on the community to support our fundraising appeal to ensure we have the funds to re-open. Secondly, it depends on the Government’s advice.
“Once the Government announces that cafés can re-open and people can sit indoors, within social distancing guidelines, we hope to be in a position to announce the re-opening of the café.”
So what could a socially distanced café look like?
The centre continues its urgent appeal and thanks the generosity of our local community, £13,000 of the urgent fundraising appeal has been raised.
Mr Hyde adds: “On behalf of everyone at Clarke Foley, we are incredibly grateful for the support and for the warm response we have received to our urgent appeal - Help us raise £30,000.”
“Even though we are making plans for the near future, Clarke Foley is still facing financial difficulties due to the Coronavirus pandemic.”
“When fully operational we need £15,000 a month to run our venue, events and charitable activities and so our fundraising continues to ensure we can be here to serve our community once we are able to open again. We have raised £13,000 so far. Having the funds to help us with our first two months when we re-open helps protect our future.”
