Clip 'n Climb comes to the rescue of Ilkley charity

The charitable trust, Improving Ilkley, created three flowerbeds outside Ilkley Railway Station in 2021, but have struggled when it comes to maintaining the beds.

Louise Hepworth-Wood from the charity explains: "We have been searching for a permanent solution to the Station Plaza flowerbed watering issue for nearly 2 years. After a lovely conversation with Richard Shelton, Director of Clip ‘n Climb, he has been very generous in allowing us permanent access.

"We are delighted that after all the investment we, and our benefactors have made - in ensuring the flowerbeds are fully planted up - we are now in a position to ensure they can be cared for and watered regularly.

"We wish to publicly thank Richard and Clip ‘n Climb for their generosity and good community spirit.

"Joanne Jarvis and myself will be at the flowerbeds watering once a week. Do say hello if you’re buying your morning coffee from La Stazione!"

Improving Ilkley's current project is to restore the fountain at the top of Brook Street.
