Extra Damage Found Delays Bolling Road Works.

Yorkshire Water contractors, Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB), working on the sewer repairs on Bolling Road have found that the damage to the sewer is far more extensive than what was discovered when it first investigated.

Local residents may have noticed a period where there wasn't much construction activity on site; this was to address these findings and amend the design of the scheme.

The repairs will now continue on site and in order to attempt to complete the work within the three month timescale as planned, MMB will be working additionally on Saturdays. If they don't encounter any further damage, the project should be completed on time.

The businesses on Bolling Road are open as usual and residents please continue to support them during this time. On street parking will be made available as the work progresses along Bolling Road but alternatively there is free street parking on Wheatley Lane.

The traffic lights will continue to be in place and they are manned at peak times. As the scheme progresses, the three-way lights set up will be reduced to a two-way set of lights which should lessen the traffic disruption.

Working hours will now be Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays. We'll post any updates on the dedicated scheme webpage yorkshirewater.com/bollingrd
