Burley Playground Project Hits Target

BURLEY PLAYGROUND HITS TARGET

What started out as a little boy wanting a new playground, turned into a massive fundraising campaign and one year on, after many events and successful grant applications, the money has been raised.

Back in January 2016, Burley in Wharfedale resident and Parish Councillor, Racheal Robinson, started the Burley in Wharfedale Playground Project with the aim to raise enough money to build a new playground for the village, yesterday she announced the target of £116,500 has been reached!

The new playground will start to take shape from early February.
