The Ilkley Water Trails leaflet has been a resounding success since its launch earlier in the year.

The trails map has an accessible Riverside Walk, suitable to pushchair sand wheelchairs, and a Moorside Walk, which both start at the Fountain at the top of Brook Street.

Inspired by Ilkley’s fountain, and its use of Victorian engineering, the trails are aimed at families to encourage walking and family fun. Julie Mountain, one of the creators of the leaflet, said: "We are so delighted that such a lot of people have used the leaflet to explore Ilkley and enjoy our town through these mini adventures.

"Thanks must go to Ilkley Town Council for their support, Chris Oxlade and The Water Trails Group."

After enjoying the walks, Jill from the 5th Ilkley Guides said: "The girls experienced both the Riverside and Moorside trails, learning about Ilkley’s historic relationship with water and taking part in exciting activities."

The leaflets are free and available to download from Discover Ilkley; Walkers are Welcome or hard copies can be found at the Visitor Information Centre, Ilkley Railway Station, The Grove Bookshop, Ilkley Tap and the Manor House.
