The Ilkley Flower Show will make a triumphant return on Saturday 19 September at All Saints Church, featuring renowned garden writer and broadcaster and IFS president Alan Titchmarsh CBE as guest judge.
Now in its 67th year, the community-focused event will bring horticulture, arts, food and family-friendly competition back to the heart of Ilkley with a full day of displays, stalls and activities.
This year’s Show expands its programmes with help from Nigel Easton of Moss & Moor Garden Centre — an experienced horticulturist and former head of RHS Harlow Carr and Wisley — who will join the celebrations, bring expert insight and support local growers.
In partnership with Ilkley BID, the Show will stage a Best Window Display competition, featuring small wheelbarrow-style displays in local shop windows, judged by IFS president Alan Titchmarsh CBE. The initiative aims to add a trail-style element to the town centre and encourage shoppers to explore Ilkley’s independent businesses.
The Show’s traditional competitive classes return, with categories for adults and children across Fruit & Vegetables, Flowers, Dahlias, Photography, Art & Handicrafts, Baking & Preserves, plus a dedicated Children’s Section to spark creativity among young residents.

Local charities and community groups will host stalls, offering visitors the chance to learn about volunteer opportunities and local causes.
The mix of formal competition, community stalls and family activities is designed to be accessible to gardeners and hobbyists of all ages and skill levels.
Organisers are calling for sponsors and prize donors to help sustain and grow the Show. Sponsorship will support prize funds, flower and plant displays around town, children’s activities and publicity to ensure broad participation. Interested businesses and individuals are invited to contact the committee to discuss partnership opportunities.
The Ilkley Flower Show is staged annually by local volunteers and relies on community involvement. Entries for classes will open in advance of the Show with details available later in the year.
Visitors can expect a full day of judging, displays and family entertainment at All Saints Church on Saturday 19 September.
