Approved: Plans to build 35 affordable homes on Ilkley green belt land

Plans for a residential development with 35 dwellings on green belt land off Skipton Road west of Ilkley have been approved, subject to an S106 agreement.

The site, which still has an old railway embankment on its northern side, was one of four development sites identified by Bradford Council in 2021.

Plans show 12 pairs of semi-detached houses, two detached houses and one three storey block of 9 apartments.

The S106 agreement says the dwellings on the site must be 'affordable dwellings', with 60% 'rented affordable housing units' and 40% 'shared ownership affordable housing units'.

Once construction work has started, planning permission states this shall only be carried out between the hours of 0730 and 1800 on Mondays to Fridays, 0730 and 1300 on Saturdays and at no time on Sundays, Bank or Public Holidays.
