Ilkley Civic Society have announced its March meeting will be at 2pm on Saturday 11th at Church House, Church St, Ilkley.
Helen Kidman, Ilkley Civic Society Chair said: “As a new venture we are trying a different day and time for this meeting as winter is still with us and hope it will encourage more members and visitors to attend.
“The title for the meeting is to be ‘Architecture and Place’ for which we have invited a local architect to talk about their work and plans for the future. We have also invited a speaker to address the important issue of a ‘Sense of Place’ and look at the issue of what makes the spaces in our towns visually attractive and comfortable to visit.
“For those who have been involved in past years you will notice our March meeting is not the usual presentation of Design and Conservation awards. This year for the first time for many years unfortunately we felt we did not have enough completed projects to justify running the awards. All those entries submitted will however be transferred to our 2024 awards.
Details of the speakers on 11th March will be issued nearer the date.”
