The Gallery at The Art Shop in Ilkley is the next place to exhibit the work of local artist Joanne Dexter.
The gallery, on Hawksworth Street, Ilkley, will host Joanne’s paintings for almost six weeks between July 18 and August 27.
The residency follows hot on the heels of a six month period when she was the artist in residence at Ben Rhydding garden centre Moss and Moor.
Joanne, from Burley in Wharfedale said: “I’m delighted to be exhibiting so close to home. My paintings are about trying to capture that sense of awe we all feel when we see beautiful landscapes and sunsets. We’re so blessed to live in such a stunning part of the world and I hope people who visit the exhibition enjoy the works.”
Joanne works almost exclusively in oils on canvas and is now busy completing several artworks in readiness for the exhibition which will be a combination of originals and prints.
