Ashiana Ilkley celebrates Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award
Ashiana Indian Takeaway in Ilkley is celebrating after being named a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2026 winner, placing the business among the top 10% of businesses worldwide on Tripadvisor.
The award is based on reviews and opinions from Tripadvisor travellers around the world, and for owner and manager Forhad Miah, the recognition is a proud moment for a small independent business that has built its reputation by putting customers first:

“We are a small family-run business in Ilkley, so to receive recognition on a global scale is genuinely very special to us. Every single customer who has visited us, ordered from us, left a review or recommended us to friends and family has played a part in this achievement.”
Ashiana’s roots remain firmly in Ilkley, with local customers playing an important role in the business’s journey since it opened on Wells Road in May 2023.
For a local independent business, that word of mouth can make a huge difference. Customer reviews have also become an important part of Ashiana’s development, with the team using feedback, both positive and constructive, to continually improve.
It is the latest achievement for Ashiana, which offers authentic and contemporary Bangladeshi cuisine. The takeaway was named Takeaway of the Year 2024 at the national Curry Life Awards and Yorkshire Takeaway of the Year at the Yorkshire and North East Curry Awards 2025.
Forhad said the latest award reflects the hard work of the whole team, as well as the support Ashiana has received from its customers: “This award belongs to our customers as much as it belongs to us. Without the people of Ilkley and everyone who has supported us over the years, we simply wouldn’t be here.
