Ashlands Bonfire returns for 40th anniversary

Tickets are now on sale for Ashlands Bonfire, returning on Saturday 7 November for its special 40th anniversary celebration.


The family-friendly event promises its biggest-ever fireworks display, alongside the traditional bonfire, food, drinks and entertainment. The evening has become a firm fixture in the Ilkley events calendar with tickets historically selling out, organisers are encouraging people to book now to avoid missing out.


Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 6.15pm, with the huge anniversary fireworks at 7.30pm.



Event coordinator Ste Hallam said: “Ashlands Bonfire has been bringing people together for 40 years, and we want this year’s event to be something really special. We’re incredibly excited to celebrate the 40th anniversary with our biggest-ever fireworks display, while keeping everything that people love about Ashlands Bonfire; the family atmosphere, food, drinks and, of course, the bonfire itself.”


“Tickets have sold out in previous years, so we’d strongly recommend getting yours early. We’d hate for anyone to miss out on what promises to be our biggest and best bonfire yet.”



All profits from tickets, food, drinks and other activities go directly towards supporting the school, helping fund projects, opportunities and improvements for pupils. By coming along and enjoying the bonfire, families are not only supporting a much-loved local tradition but also helping to fund opportunities and improvements for pupils at the school.


Ashlands Primary School is based on the main A65, Leeds Road in Ilkley.
