BD1 Brass presents Last Night of The Proms

BD1 Brass is set to bring an afternoon of spectacular brass music to Ilkley this September, with their special late-summer concert.

Last Night of The Proms, at the King’s Hall on Sunday 27 September from 3pm, will feature much-loved music from film, television and the classical world, promising an entertaining afternoon packed with memorable melodies, stirring brass arrangements and something for music lovers of all ages.

BD1 Brass say they will “take you on a musical journey featuring film, TV and classical favourites”, bringing together a varied programme designed to showcase the versatility, energy and excitement of a brass band.

Formed in 2014 as part of the City of Bradford Brass Band organisation, BD1 Brass has gone from strength to strength, achieving a series of contest wins and promotions. The band has established itself within the brass banding world, most recently finishing 3rd in the Yorkshire 1st Section in 2025—a testament to the dedication and talent of its players.

Audiences can expect to hear familiar tunes from the screen alongside popular classical favourites, before the afternoon builds towards a rousing finale celebrating the very best of the traditional British Proms.

The concert will finish with a “spectacular celebration of Proms Classics!”, giving audiences the chance to join in with the patriotic spirit and atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Proms season.

With stirring music, powerful brass performances and plenty of opportunities to get into the Proms spirit, BD1 Brass promises an afternoon of entertainment in the beautiful surroundings of King’s Hall.
