Bin collections during hot weather

Bradford Council is asking residents asked to put bins out early as hot weather returns.

Bin collection crews are continuing to work hard to collect bins on their usual days, with the number of missed collections decreasing each day.

With hot weather forecast this week, crews will be taking additional steps to protect their health and safety. These include earlier starts from 5am, lighter clothing and hats, access to water and sun cream, and additional staff to support collections.

Residents can also help by putting bins out the evening before if their collection is due on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday this week. This will allow crews starting earlier to complete collections before temperatures rise.

If your bin is missed, please leave it out so crews can return and empty it as soon as possible.

A Bradford Council spokesperson said: "We thank residents for their patience and support while crews work to maintain collections safely during the hot weather."
