Ilkley Manor House is preparing to welcome visitors this month for a weekend of festive shopping, handmade gifts, Christmas music and seasonal treats as its popular Christmas Makers’ Fair returns.

Now in its ninth year, the Christmas Makers’ Fair has become a much-loved fixture in Ilkley’s festive calendar and this year will take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, from 10am to 5pm.

Set within the beautiful surroundings of the Grade I-listed medieval Manor House, the event brings together talented local and regional artists, designers and independent makers.

Throughout the weekend, the historic building will be transformed into a festive shopping destination, with stalls showcasing an inspiring range of handmade ceramics, jewellery, textiles, original artwork, prints, Christmas decorations, cards and unique gifts.

For those looking for something a little different this Christmas, the Fair offers the perfect opportunity to find thoughtful, one-of-a-kind presents while supporting local creativity and independent businesses.

There will be plenty more to enjoy beyond the shopping. Visitors can soak up the festive atmosphere with mulled wine and mince pies available to purchase, while Christmas music adds to the seasonal cheer.

On Saturday 21 November, from 2pm, singer-songwriter David Prater will perform a selection of Christmas songs.

Sunday 22 November will celebrate community and culture, with members of the local Ukrainian community hosting a stall. A Ukrainian choir will also perform at 2pm, sharing the joy of music and adding a special cultural dimension to the weekend.

With its centuries-old rooms providing an atmospheric setting for the occasion, the Manor House brings together local heritage, creativity and community spirit, organisers say: “Whether you're searching for the perfect Christmas present, keen to support local makers or simply looking to enjoy some festive music and a glass of mulled wine, the Christmas Makers’ Fair promises something for everyone.”

The Christmas Makers’ Fair 2026 is open 10am until 5pm on both Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, the admission fee is £3.
