Entries open for 2027 Ilkley Half Marathon & 5K

Entries for the 2027 Ilkley Half Marathon & 5K open on Sunday 1 November 2026, ahead of the popular event returning on Sunday 11 July 2027.

Organised by Ilkley & District Round Table, the event welcomes thousands of runners, spectators and volunteers for a day of sporting achievement, community spirit and fundraising.

Whether you're an experienced half marathon runner chasing a personal best, taking on 13.1 miles for the first time, or looking for a shorter running challenge, there's an opportunity to get involved.

The Ilkley Half Marathon has established itself as a highlight of the regional running calendar, offering participants the chance to experience the beautiful Yorkshire countryside on a fully road-closed course. It's a rewarding challenge for seasoned runners and those looking to achieve a significant personal milestone.

For those who prefer a shorter distance, the Ilkley 5K offers an accessible alternative, welcoming beginners, younger runners and anyone keen to enjoy the atmosphere without taking on the half marathon.

Both races start and finish in Ilkley, with celebrations continuing at the event village on West Holmes Field, featuring live music, food stalls, charity stands and family entertainment.

The event also supports local charities and community organisations. Since its inaugural event in 2019, it has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds, including an impressive £55,000 in 2026.

Pete Haigh, Race Director, said: “We're incredibly excited to open entries for the 2027 Ilkley Half Marathon & 5K. It's become such an important date in the local calendar, bringing people together from across Ilkley, Yorkshire and beyond. Whether you're aiming for a personal best, tackling your first half marathon, running your first 5K or simply looking for a new challenge, we'd love to welcome you to the start line.

"What makes this event particularly special is what it gives back to the community. Raising £55,000 in 2026 was a fantastic achievement, and we're hugely grateful to every runner, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who helped make that possible. We can't wait to build on that success in 2027.”
