Free Play in the Park sessions return to Ilkley this summer

Ilkley Town Council is once again delighted to support free Play in the Park sessions for residents and visitors throughout the summer holidays.

Organised by Bradford Council’s Community Play and Activities Development Service, these weekly sessions are led by experienced and qualified staff, offering children a wide range of fun and engaging activities.

Held in Ilkley’s Riverside Park, Play in the Park offers something for everyone. Activities include bouncy castles (with separate areas for under-5s and older children), swing ball, rounders, mini golf, football, giant snakes and ladders, Connect Four, space hoppers, and many more exciting games.

The session dates are- Monday 20th July - Monday 27th July - Monday 3rd August - Monday 10th August - Monday 17th August - Wednesday 26th August.

A mobile Changing Places facility will be available on Monday 27th July and Wednesday 26th August.

Ilkley Town Mayor Cllr Damian Kearns says: “Ilkley Town Council is delighted to once again be funding Play in the Park sessions for Ilkley residents and visitors to enjoy this summer, free of charge. We want to encourage families to bring a picnic to Ilkley’s Riverside Gardens and enjoy the whole day together, making the most of this fantastic opportunity for outdoor fun and play in a safe and welcoming environment.”

These play sessions are completely free to attend and open to everyone and the council hopes families across Ilkley and beyond will get involved and make the most of these vibrant community events.
