Free spectator tickets now available for The Yorkshire Invitational

The Yorkshire Invitational returns to Ilkley Golf Club in September and will be hosted by European golf legend Colin Montgomerie.

Presented by SGH Events, The Yorkshire Invitational has established itself as one of the premier events on the Yorkshire golfing calendar, and will place on Wednesday 16 & Thursday 17 September.

Colin Montgomerie enjoyed one of the most distinguished careers in European golf, recording 31 European Tour victories and winning the European Tour Order of Merit a record eight times, including an incredible seven consecutive titles between 1993 and 1999. He will be joined by Dame Laura Davies, one of the most decorated female golfers of all time. A four-time major champion and World Golf Hall of Fame member, Davies will compete alongside Montgomerie at Ilkley Golf Club, offering spectators a rare opportunity to see two of golf's greatest icons in action.

Following the success of last year's inaugural Celeb-Am, the popular event returns for 2026, giving spectators the opportunity to watch some of the biggest names in sport take to the fairways. Team captains Sir Gareth Southgate, Jason Robinson OBE, Lee Dixon, and Zinzan Brooke will lead the action as they compete for the coveted Yorkshire Invitational Celeb-Am title, alongside a star-studded line-up featuring Premier League champions, Grand National winners, Ashes heroes, and other sporting icons.

A spokesperson for SGH Events said: “Spectator admission is completely free, and there will be plenty to enjoy away from the golf too.”

A dedicated spectator village will feature gourmet food, artisan coffee, a fully stocked bar, golf simulators, exhibitors, retailers, and a packed programme of entertainment throughout the event, including golf clinics with leading professionals, BBQ masterclasses, drinks tastings, and much more.
