Girlguiding Wharfedale Rombalds Ramble

Having been thwarted last year owing to the pandemic, members of Girlguiding Wharfedale, and 1 unit from Bradford, took delight in walking on Rombalds Moor to offer support for Country File’s Ramble for Children in Need.

They have done this since 2018 organised by an Ilkley Brownie Leader and in the process raised a substantial sum of money for the charity.

There were 93 young members and 22 adult Leaders walking on Sunday 10 October – meeting at Darwin Gardens and walked along past White wells with a picnic for lunch.

A spokesperson for Girlguiding Wharfedale said: “The round trip took place in fine weather and the walk was a resounding success. If anyone should care to offer support the link for the fundraising account is www.justgiving.com/fundraising/WYNWALKING

“Members of Girlguiding Wharfedale would be very happy to have your contributions. Furthermore, if anyone feels able to volunteer as a Leader we are in need of someone to help on Monday evenings. Full training and one to one support is given.”
