Planted by volunteers coordinated by Climate Action Ilkley in March 2020, Community Orchards in Ilkley and Ben Rhydding are thriving and volunteers are needed to help to maintain them at two planned winter work days.
A spokesperson said: "Please come and join us to to install our new noticeboards, plant some more bulbs, plant some fruit & nut trees or do a spot of pruning. Please bring gloves, secateurs, a spade if you can. There's a job for everyone!"
These will be at the Ilkley Orchard at East Holmes Field (next to the skate park) on Sunday 20 November and the Ben Rhydding Orchard at Wheatley Fields on Saturday 26 November, both between 10am and 12pm.
