CATERING ASSISTANT – BETTYS, ILKLEY

Part-time role working a minimum of 12 hours over 2 days. You will be required to work at least one day at the weekend every week. If you would like to discuss working patterns, please provide more details in your application.

You will have a keen interest in cooking and will be passionate about producing the best quality dishes. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others as we rely on our strong team ethic to deliver the highest levels of quality and customer service. Experience of working in a busy kitchen as well as food safety and health and safety knowledge is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.

DEMENTIA CAFÉ VOLUNTEERS - ILKLEY GOOD NEIGHBOURS

Volunteers needed for our Dementia Café which runs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month between 1-4pm. Volunteering is on a rota to suit your availability. Volunteers will help attendees feel welcome and relaxed, get involved with the various activities, help with tea and coffee orders and support the set-up/tidy-up of each session. BEFRIENDING AND SHOPASSIST VOLUNTEERS – ILKLEY GOOD NEIGHBOURS

Volunteers needed for our Befriending and ShopAssist projects. Both require a weekly commitment of between 1-2 hours, with ShopAssist taking longer to include the practical element of the supermarket shop. Volunteers will be looking to make a social connection and have the time and patience to take the interactions at the client’s pace. Would you like to help your local community and join the friendly team at Ilkley Community Transport? We are a registered charity based in Ilkley and are always looking for CAR DRIVERS to provide lifts primarily to medical appointments for residents in the Ilkley and Addingham area who find public transport difficult to access due to age, illness or disability. Volunteers use their own cars and claim expenses for fuel at a pre-agreed rate. Drivers must be over 21, and have held a full licence for at least 2 years.
