£16.01 weekday £16.31 weekend for every 1st visit attended.

All visits are a minimum of an hour and you will have your own regular clients so can develop genuinely meaningful relationships.

Carers/Companions to join our team delivering care and companionship to private clients.

Ilkley & District Good Neighbours (IDGN) is looking for a new Chair of Trustees to lead IDGN over the next three years. The charity has a small but dedicated staff team and an experienced group of trustees which look to the Chair for leadership and direction. The ideal candidate will have experience in a leadership role, be skilled at strategic thinking and have an understanding of the issues facing older people. DEMENTIA CAFÉ VOLUNTEERS - ILKLEY GOOD NEIGHBOURS

Volunteers needed for our Dementia Café which runs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month between 1-4pm. Volunteering is on a rota to suit your availability. Volunteers will help attendees feel welcome and relaxed, get involved with the various activities, help with tea and coffee orders and support the set-up/tidy-up of each session. BEFRIENDING AND SHOPASSIST VOLUNTEERS – ILKLEY GOOD NEIGHBOURS

Volunteers needed for our Befriending and ShopAssist projects. Both require a weekly commitment of between 1-2 hours, with ShopAssist taking longer to include the practical element of the supermarket shop. Volunteers will be looking to make a social connection and have the time and patience to take the interactions at the client’s pace. In return volunteers can expect to gain a sense of giving back, hopefully develop a real friendship and be well-supported by the project coordinator Helen Hawney, who can be contacted on gnb@goodneighboursilkley.org.uk or 07536 457961 for more info.


VOLUNTEER SCHOOL GOVERNOR – BEN RHYDDING PRIMARY SCHOOL

Ben Rhydding Primary school is looking for a dedicated School Governor with a background in Finance or HR. This is a great opportunity to use your skills to help shape the school’s strategic direction.

What we’re looking for:

• Sound judgement with the confidence to ask challenging questions as a ‘critical friend’

• Can be a parent of the school or independent

Commitment:

• 4 full governing board meetings per year (Thursday evenings)

• 4 committee meetings per year (Thursdays, 9:30–11:00am)

• Typical term of office: 4 years

No previous governing experience is needed — training is provided.

PRE-SCHOOL TRUSTEES – ILKLEY PRE-SCHOOL

Ilkley Pre-School is a non-profit charitable organisation that provides high quality learning environment for children.

We are looking for a new board of trustees from Jan ‘26

The trustee role is voluntary, unpaid position. The trustees meet every 6-8 weeks for an hour to discuss the developments of pre-school and to help plan next steps. We are looking for people with a financial background to take on the treasurer role, people to assist with marketing,fundraising and a new chair who will liaise with OFSTED and be the main contact with the Pre-school manager.

ILKLEY COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

Would you like to help your local community and join the friendly team at Ilkley Community Transport? We are a registered charity based in Ilkley and are always looking for CAR DRIVERS to provide lifts primarily to medical appointments for residents in the Ilkley and Addingham area who find public transport difficult to access due to age, illness or disability. Volunteers use their own cars and claim expenses for fuel at a pre-agreed rate. Drivers must be over 21, and have held a full licence for at least 2 years.
