COMPANIONS – LADIES IN WAITING, ILKLEY

Are looking for mature minded candidates to cover Ilkley, Burley, Menston and Guiseley area, we require part-time (10-15 hours), £15.39 for every 1st visit attended.

Carers/Companions to join our team delivering care and companionship to private clients.

Our ladies are renowned for their understanding and empathy and develop a genuine rapport with their clients.

Flexible hours to cover morning, afternoons, teatimes and alternate weekends, & ideally to have availability on Fridays

Throughout West Yorkshire & Craven The Companion Service supports people in West Yorkshire & Craven who have a terminal illness or life limiting condition. Volunteers needed for our Moving On Friendship Groups (social/signposting groups for older people). We have 2 groups on Thursday and Fridays and need volunteers at both between 1-3pm. Volunteering is on a rota to suit your availability.

Volunteers will help attendees feel welcome and relaxed, help with tea and coffee orders and help tidy up at the end of the session. You may also help at our excursions.

ILKLEY COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

Would you like to help your local community and join the friendly team at Ilkley Community Transport? We are a registered charity based in Ilkley and are always looking for CAR DRIVERS to provide lifts primarily to medical appointments for residents in the Ilkley and Addingham area who find public transport difficult to access due to age, illness or disability. Volunteers use their own cars and claim expenses for fuel at a pre-agreed rate. Drivers must be over 21, and have held a full licence for at least 2 years.

Are you looking to have fun, make friends and give back to your community? Girlguiding groups throughout Wharfedale welcome new volunteers - as helpers or as leaders and on a regular or occasional basis.
