Ilkley Cinema to show film shot in the town


Ilkley Cinema is to show the new comedy Say Your Prayers filmed in Ilkley and other local locations from 13 November.


In the film, radical Christian hitmen Tim and Vic (played by Harry Melling and Tom Brooke) arrive in Ilkley tasked with assassinating famous secularist Professor John Huxley (played by Roger Allam). But after a case of mistaken identity, they find themselves having murdered the wrong man and stuck in Ilkley during the town's busiest weekend, seeking guidance from Father Enoch (played by Derek Jacobi).


Say Your Prayers was filmed on location at Ilkley Moor, in Ilkley town centre and in other surrounding areas including Otley, Harrogate, Menston, Allerton Castle, Keighley and Bradford.

The choir in the film are all members of renowned local choir Steeton Male Voice Choir.
