Ilkley hair salon celebrates 20 years and new prestigious partnership
Independent luxury hair salon Joseph Bespoke is celebrating 20 years in Ilkley, marking two decades of providing personalised hairdressing services to the local community and beyond.
The milestone comes as the business celebrates becoming the only stockist in the area of the prestigious Kérastase professional haircare range.
Approaching its second anniversary at its current premises on South Hawksworth Street this December, Joseph Bespoke has built a loyal following through its commitment to exceptional customer care, technical expertise and an individual approach to hairdressing.
The business was originally established by Phillip Dawson as The Loft on Church Street 20 years ago, before being renamed Joseph Bespoke in 2014 and relocating to Leeds Road. The name followed the merging of Phillip's business with that of his husband, Joseph Dawson, bringing their two established salons together under the Joseph Bespoke brand. Today, Phillip leads the Ilkley salon, while Joseph heads up the Wakefield salon.
Working alongside Phillip in Ilkley is business partner Mark McKenzie and a team of experienced stylists, offering precision cutting, bespoke colouring, colour correction, specialist treatments and styling for weddings and special occasions.
A significant development for the business is its partnership with Kérastase, the internationally renowned luxury professional haircare brand, founded in Paris in 1964 and recognised for its science-led approach to hair and scalp health.
As part of the partnership, the salon now offers complimentary hair and scalp analysis using specialist diagnostic technology, helping clients understand the condition of their hair and scalp and identify the most suitable products and treatments for their individual needs.
