Ilkley Library to reopen following refurbishment
Ilkley Library and Visitor Information Centre will reopen to the public next week following a major refurbishment.
The building on Station Road will be back open to the public on Monday, 21 September.
The library service and Visitor Information Centre will move back into the refurbished building after operating from temporary accommodation at the Town Hall during the improvement works.
Visitors returning to the library will benefit from a range of improvements, including new accessible toilets, upgraded lighting, improved heating and a kitchenette that can be used by community groups and organisations using the space.
The refurbishment has been designed to create a more welcoming, comfortable and accessible environment for residents, visitors and community groups.
Councillor Ian Walker, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Neighbourhoods and Communities, said: “We are delighted to be returning to our newly refurbished library and look forward to welcoming everyone back on 21 September.
“The improvements have created a brighter, warmer and more accessible space for our customers and community groups. We'd like to thank everyone for their patience and support while the refurbishment work has been taking place."
