Continuing repair work means Ilkley Lido will not be reopening this weekend, even though changes to lockdown rules mean that outdoor swimming pools are able to operate again.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Bradford Council said:
"Unfortunately Ilkley Lido will not be opening on Saturday. Due to the on-going situation with Covid-19 we took the decision to continue important repair work on the Lido which is not expected to be complete before the end of August.
"This work will ensure that the Lido is structurally sound and will be available for families to enjoy for many years to come."
Ilkley Lido is a popular summer venue with visitors travelling from across the area to use the facility - especially on sunny weekends such as the one we're expecting.
It was recently named as one of the Top 10 outdoor pools to visit in the UK.
