Story Explorer Pack Image: Memory Potifa

Ilkley Literature Festival are delighted to release resources to offer support during the third national lockdown, including educational packs for children and tickets for a wellness writing course for adults.

Story Explorer Packs

Story Explorer packs are digitised activity booklets for primary school children aged 7-12. These packs are designed to be reading accompaniments and can be used to help children work through and get the most out of an exciting book for their age group.

They are ideal for parents and carers navigating home teaching for the first time, or teachers and librarians looking for material to use in their classrooms, whether that’s at home, in school or online.

The first pack is available now and explores The Weirdstone of Brisingamen by Alan Garner, a classic children’s fantasy novel.

The packs are free* and are available to download here: www.ilkleyliteraturefestival.org.uk/children-young-people/story-explorers

*Bursary Packs

Bursary packs are available for those in the Yorkshire region who do not have access to a copy of the book, and a computer, a tablet or a printer. They include a copy of the book and printed copies of all activities and instructions.

To request a bursary pack, please email info@ilkleylitfest.org.uk or call 01943 601210.
