Ilkley resident Ian Smith has launched the Ilkley Lockdown Podcast in which he will interview a diverse set of local people and ask them to share their lockdown experiences, and how they are rising to the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis. The interviews are conducted remotely using software, such as Skype. or telephone.
Each episode of the podcast will last between about 5 and 15 minutes and will contain a conversation with one guest, the first few episodes include an accountancy practice manager, a technology consultant, and the chair of Climate Action Ilkley.
Episode 1 is now available almost everywhere that people listen to podcasts, search for "Ilkley Lockdown" in apps such as Spotify, Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, and Deezer.
Ian's plan is to release a further 11 episodes during May (one every 3 days or so). A further decision will be taken in late May about how successful it's been, and whether it makes sense to continue beyond the end of that month.
