Ilkley salon supports Breast Cancer Now
Ilkley’s eco-conscious salon, Beauty in Bloom, raised £225 for Breast Cancer Now through a special Wear It Pink day ahead of its fourth anniversary.
The event was particularly meaningful following Ellen, a member of the salon’s collective, recently undergoing breast cancer treatment.
The team dressed in pink and decorated the salon, hosting a sweet-counting competition, raffle and pink-themed treats to raise awareness and funds.
Thanks to the generosity of clients and the local community, the salon raised £225 to support breast cancer research and care.
The Beauty in Bloom team said: “We had such a lovely day getting involved in this amazing cause. It was wonderful to see everyone coming together, supporting the event and helping us raise money for such an important charity.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets and helped make the day such a success. Every contribution made a difference, and we’re delighted to have raised £225 for Breast Cancer Now.”
Last year, Beauty in Bloom on Cowpasture Road raised funds for Alopecia Awareness UK. This latest fundraiser continues the salon’s commitment to supporting meaningful causes and bringing the Ilkley community together as it approaches its fourth anniversary.
