Ilkley suspect hid drugs stash in his underpants

A man has been arrested after being found is possession of a large quantity of 'deal bags' in Ilkley.
On the evening of Friday 12 June 2026, officers from Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team 3 were on patrol in Ilkley when a male was seen to carry out a suspected drug deal.
A spokesperson said: "Upon arresting the male, an initial search found him to be in possession of a large quantity of deal bags containing suspected ecstasy tablets. However this was not before he had been seen trying to stash items down his trousers."
"Fast forward to custody, and one strip search later, the males mystery underpants stash was found to be another large quantity of deal bags, this time containing white powder.
"The male has since been released under investigation whilst forensic work can be carried out on the suspected drugs, and our investigation continues."
