Ilkley's Darwin Gardens celebrates Love Parks Week 2026

Darwin Gardens is joining in the nationwide Love Parks Week campaign

Darwin Gardens Millennium Green is joining in the nationwide Love Parks Week campaign from 24 July to 2 August 2026, celebrating the joy, wellbeing and community value of green spaces.

The Darwin Gardens Trust is warmly inviting residents and visitors to enjoy Darwin Gardens over the course of the week, whether by exploring the maze, following the trails, enjoying a picnic, or simply spending time in the fresh air with family and friends.

Visitors are asked to take their own water bottles, as there is no fresh water supply at Darwin Gardens, and also to help keep the site clean and welcoming for others by using the bin or taking litter home. The message reflects the wider spirit of Love Parks Week and the national Keep Britain Tidy campaign, which celebrates green spaces as places for wellbeing, community connection and care for the environment.

A spokesperson for Darwin Gardens said: “Darwin Gardens is a much-loved green space for families, walkers and wildlife alike. Love Parks Week is a wonderful chance to celebrate everything that makes it special – from the maze and trails to the simple pleasure of a picnic in the open air. We hope everyone who visits will have fun, enjoy nature, and help us keep the Gardens beautiful for everyone.”
