Invitation issued to Ilkley’s over 90s for annual tea party
Residents aged 90 and over across Ilkley and the surrounding area are being invited to a special afternoon of singing, live music, afternoon tea and community celebration.
The annual Over 90s Afternoon Tea Celebration, hosted by Ilkley & District Good Neighbours at the Clarke Foley Community Hub, will take place on Saturday 27 September, from 2pm to 4pm.
The free event is open to residents aged 90 and over living in Addingham, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Ilkley and Menston. Guests can enjoy delicious tea and cakes, live music and a warm, festive atmosphere, with the opportunity to spend an afternoon together and celebrate the older members of the local community.
Family members, friends and neighbours are encouraged to nominate someone they know who is aged 90 or over. Guests are also welcome to bring a companion.
The event has been made possible thanks to funding from Ilkley Round Table.
