One of the North of England’s most celebrated folk/rock bands, the exhilarating Jon Palmer Acoustic Band, are coming to Ilkley to play a one off show at Ilkley Playhouse on Saturday 26 March 2022.
The band is a high energy 5-piece best described as “exploding out of the same box as The Pogues, The Saw Doctors, and The Waterboys”, and they have a great reputation on the live circuit.
Amongst a host of accolades, the band, who regularly perform at festivals and venues across the North of England, has been hailed “a blur of hedonistic delight” by Fatea Showcases and “the best upbeat folk band around” by the Yorkshire Gig Guide.
Frontman, Jon Palmer, is a previous winner of the Grolsch “National Songwriter Of The Year” Award.
They have an enviable reputation for being the “go to” band for finishing off the night in a joyful, energetic, and chorus filled way.
