Later Life Festival returns to Ilkley for second year

A festival celebrating living well in later life is returning to Ilkley this September, following the success of last year’s event.
Radfield Care’s Later Life Festival takes place on Saturday 12 September at Clarke Foley Community Hub, from 11am–2pm, with free entry.
Now in its second year, the festival brings together local organisations and businesses offering advice, activities, services and opportunities to help people stay active, independent and connected as they get older.
Visitors can drop in and meet local organisations, ask questions and discover what is available in the community to make the most of later life, all in a relaxed and informal setting. Clarke Foley’s café will also be open for refreshments and a chat.
Nathan Evans, Business Development Manager from Radfield Care, said: "Last year's Later Life Festival was such a positive event, and we were really pleased with the number of people who came along. There are so many organisations and opportunities available locally that can help people live well in later life, and this is a great way to find out about them in a friendly and informal environment."
Anna Clewlow, Marketing Coordinator at Clarke Foley Community Hub, said: "It was lovely to see people coming into Clarke Foley, having a coffee, meeting others and finding out what was available locally. You don't have to be looking for anything in particular — you can simply pop in and perhaps discover something new that could make a real difference to your quality of life."
