Ilkley Musical Theatre Society presents Little Shop of Horrors 12-15 November

With a week to go until opening night, Ilkley Musical Theatre Society [IMTS] is bursting with excitement as their latest production, Little Shop of Horrors, prepares to take over the King’s Hall in Ilkley.

Months of rehearsals, creativity and hard work have led to this moment, and the cast and crew are more than ready to wow audiences from 12 to 15 November 2025.

Every number has been polished to perfection, every comic beat timed just right and Audrey II — the show’s famously ravenous plant — is alive and kicking thanks to a talented team of puppet operators who’ve had quite the workout bringing her to life.

Director Mark Allan said:

“This show has been such a joy to create. The cast’s energy and enthusiasm are incredible and what’s really special is how the whole society has pulled together to make it happen. The final week of rehearsals is all about fine-tuning and we can’t wait to share the results with everyone.”

Behind the scenes, the production team and a dedicated group of volunteers have been busy building the set entirely from scratch, transforming the King’s Hall into a downtown flower shop, complete with handmade details, atmospheric lighting and a touch of theatrical magic. It’s a true community effort, showcasing not only local talent on stage but also the creativity and craftsmanship that make IMTS productions so memorable.

Little Shop of Horrors is a cult classic packed with catchy songs including Skid Row, Somewhere That’s Green and Suddenly Seymour, laugh-out-loud moments and a deliciously dark storyline.

With just eight performers bringing the quirky characters of Skid Row to life, audiences can expect powerhouse vocals, big laughs and a high-energy evening that’s perfect for families, musical fans and anyone who enjoys something a little out of the ordinary.

IMTS would also like to extend a huge thank you to their generous sponsors: Joze Dance, Westville House School, Radfield Home Care, Pariah Dog Koh Samui, Ladies in Waiting, AAB, Clearwater and Little Shop of Props, whose support helps make productions like this possible.
