Local Covid restrictions back from Tuesday in Ilkley

The additional Coronavirus restrictions which were lifted a few weeks ago in some areas of the Bradford District, including Ilkley, Addingham and Burley-in-Wharfedale, will be returning again from Tuesday.

Due to an increase in Covid-19 cases, from 22 September everyone living in the whole Bradford district will be banned from socialising with other people outside of their own households or support bubble in private homes and gardens.

Bradford Council has added further information about the restrictions to its website, which include:

"You cannot socialise with people you do not live with, or are not in a support bubble with, in public venues. This means you cannot socialise with others in pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, places of worship, community centres, leisure and entertainment venues, visitor attractions or parks."

Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock says:

“I know these restrictions will make everyday life harder for many, but I know that residents will work together and respect the rules so we can reduce rates of transmission."

The restrictions are also being re-imposed across Kirklees and Calderdale.
