MasterChef Stars announced for sixth Ilkley Food and Drink Festival

The Ilkley Food and Drink Festival has unveiled the line up of renowned chefs performing demonstrations in their Live Cookery Theatre on 14th and 15th June.
In partnership with Yorkshire Food Guide, festival-goers can enjoy demonstrations from the likes of MasterChef UK competitors, award-winning culinary-mentors, esteemed Head Chefs from AA Rosette-awarded establishments, and more.
Michael Johnston, Festival Director said:
“The variety of professionals we have joining us means each demonstration focuses on a unique approach to cooking. Going into our sixth year, this is one of our strongest line ups to date”
Saturday 14th June
Jenny Culver (Bettys Cookery School) - Course Manager at Bettys Cookery School, Jenny Culver is an expert baker and mentor. Passionate about patisserie, she draws inspiration from childhood memories to create dishes reflecting a balance of innovation and nostalgic charm.
Richard Allen (NEET People) - With over 30 years of culinary experience, Richard is Chef Consultant for NEET, a registered charity and non-profit organisation that uses its income to support and develop opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities.
Doug Crampton (Eight at Gazegill) - With experience in venues awarded 3 AA Rosettes, and having led award-winning culinary teams, Doug is now the Chef Patron of Eight at Gazegill, leading with the restaurant's ethos of utilising local, organic produce.
Adam Maddock (Saltmoore) - Executive Chef at Saltmoore, a luxurious, wellness-led sanctuary in Whitby, Adam is a seafood specialist who oversees all menu creation. In collaboration with the Michelin-starred Tommy Banks, he crafts refined British dishes.
Sunday 15th June
Owen Diaram (MasterChef / Cook With Owen) - Quarter-finalist on MasterChef UK, Owen masterfully blends global flavours, bringing South African and Indian cultures together in food. As a Great Taste Award recipient and the founder of Cook With Owen, he is a highly-acclaimed Private Chef and entrepreneur.
Jon Appleby (Feversham Arms) - As Head Chef at the Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa, Jon Appleby’s culinary approach emphasises sustainability and seasonal produce. His in-depth knowledge of British produce and fine ingredients allows him to compose nuanced, flavour-driven dishes.
Thomas Robertson (The Coniston Hotel) - The Coniston Hotel, a country estate and spa in Skipton, provides an immersive dining experience led by Head Chef Thomas Robertson. Thomas’s ethos of high-quality yet simple cuisine quickly earned the establishment an AA Rosette under his leadership.
Bobby Geetha (MasterChef / Fleur) - Head Chef of Fleur Restaurant in Leeds, Bobby Geetha is a specialist in modern Indian cuisine and fine dining. As a competitor on The Great British Menu, a MasterChef UK finalist, an International Menu Consultant, and a published author, he is an established culinary leader.
Other attractions at the festival on East Holmes Field will include the Live Music Stage hosting a range of local acts including Liam Gray as Robbie Williams and The Voice UK Semi-finalist Rachel Modest with The Motown Gospel Choir.
Between sets, festival-goers can explore the Street Food Arena, host to an eclectic mix of international flavours and dessert vendors. Alternatively, Artisan Markets showcase a variety of independent businesses, alongside streets of independent bars and a Full Ale House.
