Concerns over the rapid spread of the Omicron Covid variant have led to limits being placed on the number of people allowed to attend the funeral of Olicanian Cricket Club chairman David House.
Mr House, who was the vice president of the Airedale and Wharfedale Senior League, died in Wheatfields Hospice, Leeds, on December 14.
A private funeral service will take place on Monday, January 10, at St Wilfrid’s Church, Calverley, Leeds, followed by a Committal at Rawdon Crematorium.
Those attending will remain seated during the service and will be socially distanced.
There are plans for a memorial day event to be held at Olicanian’s Denton Road ground during the 2022 cricket season, though a date has yet to be confirmed.
