The recently formed 'Friends of Ilkley Rail Station' held its first event on Sunday at the railway station.
Passers-by enjoyed a plethora of entertainment, from traditional choir singing, to some more upbeat blues and ‘folk’ music. A collection was made for The Candlelighters Charity.
Speaking on behalf of the Friends of Ilkley Rail Station group, a spokesperson said: "I would like to thank all our groups and soloist who performed today, namely; Singing Mums of Ilkley, Steph Atkinson, The Bird Dog Three Band, Sing Your Rocks Off Choir, Two Rivers Band. It was a wonderful experience for all having music and song on our station."
The group's objectives is to improve the experience of using Ilkley Rail Station working directly with Northern Rail and this event was intended to introduce themselves to the public and provide an insight into their plans.
