Planning expert Clive Brook invites you to 'Mid Wharfedale and Beyond – One Man’s Vision' talk next month in Ilkley.

The talk will take place at All Saints’ Church between 7.30–9.30pm on Thursday 17 September.

Inspired by his book Planning for Good or Ill, the evening will explore the future of the Wharfe Valley, focusing on climate change, environmental loss, health and wellbeing, land use, and how communities can play a greater role in planning decisions.

The evening will include two linked talks followed by a Q&A, offering a positive vision for the future of Mid Wharfedale and beyond.

Clive Brook said: 'If you are interested in the future of where you live and the surrounding countryside of Mid Wharfedale; if you are concerned about the impacts of climate change, environmental loss and want to enhance your personal and community health and wellbeing then this talk is not to be missed.'

Clive’s book has been highly praised, with former RTPI President Professor Cliff Hague describing it as “the best book written by a practitioner in the last 50 years”.

Planning for Good or Ill is available from The Grove Bookshop and can also be purchased on the night. Tickets for the talk are £7 plus booking fee. Reserve your place via Eventbrite.
