Following the success of the first community walk, a Pups & People Community Walk is set to bring local people together for a morning of fresh air, conversation and positive wellbeing.
Taking place at 09:30 on Saturday 26 September 2026, the event will begin at the Cow and Calf Café in Ilkley, before heading out on a gentle 5 km route around the Cow and Calf and Ilkley Moor.
The walk is an opportunity for people to connect, chat and enjoy the outdoors in a relaxed and welcoming environment — with four-legged friends very much encouraged to join in.
Local organisations WellWalk CIC, Billy's Bus and Andy’s Man Club Ilkley will be there to meet participants, offer a friendly face and encourage conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
The message behind the event is simple: taking a walk, having a chat and connecting with others can all be positive steps towards better wellbeing — one step, and one wagging tail, at a time.
There is no need to register. Participants are simply asked to turn up at the Cow and Calf Café for a 09:30 start on Saturday 26 September.
Whether you come with a pup, a friend, or simply on your own, everyone is welcome.
