On July 5, Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life will be held in Ilkley and this year, for the first time, organisers are inviting everyone in the area – women, men and children - to join in.
Cancer Research UK say: ‘We’re so excited that men, women, children, work colleagues, friends, families - everyone of any gender, age and any ability - can join the Race for Life in 2020.”
The 2020 Ilkley Race for Life will feature both 5k and 10k events and be held at East Holmes Field on Sunday 5 July, starting at 10:30am.
The money raised for Cancer Research UK funds research to fight 200 types of cancer. The good news is more people are surviving the disease than ever before. Cancer survival in the UK has doubled since the early 1970s and Cancer Research UK’s work has been at the heart of that progress.
